Dave Masters

Dave Masters, our Program Director and Morning guy is glad to be back at KSLT!

This is where he met his future wife Lorene who was also a DJ here back in the day.

Dave is a long time radio veteran who got his start in radio in the 70’s at a Christian AM station KGLE in Glendive Montana. Over the years, he’s spent a lot of time in Montana, and in North Dakota at KFYR.

Other stops included Colorado Springs at KBIQ, 11 years at KTSL in Spokane (former sister stations, both) Dave was here in the Black Hills at KSLT from 1989 to 1991, and was heard on the air via satellite from 1992 to 1994. Most recently he spent a couple of “long years” in Southern California and is delighted to return to the area of the country he loves.

Dave likes to joke that he was born with a microphone in his hand. One thing is for sure, he’s had a passion for music and for radio since he was very young.... doing things like pretending he was a DJ and creating a fictional radio station of his own when he was 8 years old, and over the years amassing a huge music collection and mental storehouse of knowledge about all things music.

In his free time, Dave enjoys the outdoors with his wife and teen daughters Hannah & Rachel and all the recreation activities that the Black Hills area offers, like hiking, camping and skiing.

He also operates his own mobile DJ service MASTERS MUSIC for wedding receptions and birthday parties.

“I’ve was in secular, mainstream radio for many years” he says, “and what a pleasure it is to be involved in a radio ministry that is so much more than just a radio station. KSLT has been touching lives and making a difference around the 5 states for 25 years and this is an honor for me to share the powerful message of hope that we have as followers of Christ.”
