Share your God Moment and let God work through your God moment. It could be a story about faith, a healing, miracle restored marraige etc. Dave will share these on the air on the Morning Show.
As choir director for my church in Newcastle I was looking for Easter music for us to sing for this season. We sang a nice cantata last year but I didn't want to repeat any of it again this year.
I received some sample music in the mail and took it home to review.
After a few days I asked our church secretary if we had money in our music budget to purchase the new music I had reviewed. She said, "Boy, at this time we're really short financially". I said "Oh, well could you call this company anyway and see how much this cantata would cost for 1 accompaniment CD and 10 books?" I thought perhaps I could ask someone to donate toward the purchase. I left it at that and went home.
Two days later I received a really unusual card in the mail from a dear friend who used to play the piano at a church I attended in Belle Fourche more than 7 years before. I had not even seen her in all those years. I used to help direct music at that church as well. She stated in that card that she had just had a dream about she and I standing in front of our pastor in the Belle Fourche church. The pastor handed us two sheets of music and told her to play it and I was to direct. She said that when she woke up from her dream she felt very distinctly that the Lord wanted her to send me some money. She didn't know why but she knew the very specific amount the Lord wanted her to send. I was naturally very surprised to get this money and I went directly to my church secretary to ask her what the cantata music would cost. She said
$159 plus shipping, about $165.
You guessed it - the check I held in my hand was for $165! Praise God isn't He wonderful! This lady stepped out in faith even though she felt foolish at the time but God used her faithfullness to minister in an amazing way and gave my choir a very tangible example of how good God is! We are singing the music on Easter Sunday and I plan to share this story with the entire congregation.
I have a story to share of how God is with us even during times when we wonder what is going on and why is this happening. My daughter had called from Denver on a Monday morning telling me that our little 16-month old grandson had been sick with a fever and stomach pains for several days. She had taken him to the doctor and was told he had a stomach virus and he should be better within 48 hours…instead he was worse. They ended up in the emergency room on a Sunday morning and then doctors said “we don’t know what’s wrong” and we think you should take him to the Children’s Hospital on Monday. At the Children’s Hospital, doctors ran test after test and late that afternoon she called us and said, “Tristan has a burst appendix and is having emergency surgery at midnight, can you, please come and be with us.” Of course, my husband and I were in the car almost immediately on our way to Denver. Tristan was a very sick little boy; but God is good….the doctors said even though the appendix had been ruptured for several days; his little body formed a sac around the poison leaking out of his appendix instead of letting it spread throughout his body. THEY WERE AMAZED. There were prayers being said for that little boy from ND to TX to CA and even though it was a very scary situation, God showed us once again how he can take something meant for evil and make it good. It didn’t take long for Tristan to fully recover and soon he was his little mischievous self! Praise God!
One very thankful Grandma.
I have a God moment I would like to share. John 9:3 "Neither this man nor his parents sinned" said Jesus, "but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life." These happen so we may glorify God!
My husband Seth was on his way to work when a car pulled out in front of his motorcycle. Seth could not stop in time and slid into the car. Seth suffered a burst fracture in his spine and a dislocated and broken ankle. Seth had to spend 4 days in ICU and in total over a week in the hospital to recover from a back surgery and an ankle surgery. God showed his love and mercy to Seth and I in a number of ways, but here are just a few: The night before Seth had his back surgery he experienced a panic attack, which is not good when there are shards of bone threatening to puncture the spine. At the exact time Seth was experiencing that attack his uncle over 500 miles away woke up and began to pray for Seth and the surgery. By the love of God, Seth made it through the night and the surgery. Secondly, while we were in the hospital Seth and I got wind of a Church benefit in our home town that would help with our medical cost. The benefit took place later that fall, but that day there was a really bad storm and not many people could make it. God is still good and a few weeks later we received the check in the mail. It covered all the medical expenses that our insurance did not cover: $5,000. Besides these two times God powerfully stepped in, he also gave sent us this great support system of friends, family, and church families who moved furniture and helped supply the equipment to handicap our home for Seth's long recovery. The biggest miracle of all is that Seth is active and back to 95%. Although he has a lot of pain, it could have been a lot worse.
