On Thursday, November 14th at 1:15 MTN time, our station is inviting you to partner with us and the National Day of Prayer to simultaneously pray a prepared prayer that will be heard by listeners throughout the country.
"The Timothy Prayer" is based on 1 Timothy 2:1-2 that says, "I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people- 2 for kings and all those in authority ..."
We want to reach hearts of those concerned for our country, those who are hurting, and those who are possibly confused listeners as we believe we as One Nation Under God can benefit from this time of prayer. The goal is to shift all attention that is on the problems within our government and our leaders back onto God for resolution. To ask for His forgiveness, clarity and continued blessing upon our great country.
Please join this mission to pray for our nation and leaders in Washington D.C..
We come to you today knowing that we need You … our nation needs You … without You, Lord, we are lost!
God we pray for our leaders in Washington D.C. … because Your Word asks us to pray for all people, including
those in authority -- like our President and Congressmen and women.
Forgive us for not firmly standing our ground in our faith, for being timid for far too long, and for forgetting what
principle our nation was founded upon “One nation, under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.”
Unite us Lord, through your Son, Jesus Christ … and please heal our country.
Father, we ask that You open the hearts and minds of our leaders so that they may hear and see You. Help
them to know that they can come to you with their burdened hearts and fully trust in Your will, not their own.
God, lead them to ask You for forgiveness. Guide them through your will toward peace for the sake of
this nation giving them clear minds to focus on what’s best for all of us.
Lord, we also ask for You to mend the hearts of the American people … healing relationships between
neighbors, families, and friends. Remind us who we are in You.
Lord let Your presence be known and felt throughout this land. Let the praises of Your people rise
and NEVER cease from our lips! Let forgiveness, peace, truth, and love be our anthem.
We love you Lord
