Jamie Knapp

Jamie grew up a Rapid City girl with big hopes and dreams for her future although she couldn’t quite put her finger on exactly what it was going to be, she knew it would be bigger than herself and meaningful too. She realized shortly after housekeeping at a nursing home at age 16 that she took joy in serving others. From then to now, God has been using her to encourage and care for people in many different capacities of her life including in her career as the KSLT Program Director. Jamie attended Stevens High School and even tried out a bit of college at SDSU thinking she would become a Nurse.  Jamie has worked for Bethesda Christian Broadcasting for 14 years. Aside from her Program Director responsibilities, she is also your friend on the KSLT Morning Show. She is the wife of Luke for over 21 years. They have 3 children- Riley, Aubrey and Lukas. She hopes her caring spirit comes through the airwaves. Her goal is to point you to The One who can give you the ultimate fulfilling in this life and that is Jesus.

In a study led by Melanie Mallers, PhD, Psychology Professor at California State University Fullerton, a positive trend was identified among men who reported a good relationship with their father during their childhood years. The study suggests that strong bonds, developed between fathers and sons, better equip men to deal with everyday stress in their adult life. Believing whole-heartedly in that concept, and in the idea that boys need to be engaged by men modeling true biblical manhood.
