A few weeks ago, the staff of 107.1 KSLT received this inspiring email from Cherie Mamula, a listener in the 5-state listening area, about her daughter:
“My daughter’s birthday is April 12; she will be thirteen. She was saved last summer, we listen to KSLT, and she is actively reading her Bible front to back! She’s read the entire Old Testament and is working her way through the New. She’s able to direct you through people of the Bible and, most recently, in February, a good friend—like a grandma to her—was dying from cancer. She wrote a salvation prayer in the front, and this shy, quiet lil’ girl who you can never hear boldly stepped up in faith to try to save our friend. She’s truly amazing, and she doesn’t play on devices, she doesn’t wear trendy clothes, she’s not into toys or needless items, she requested an ’empty tomb’ cake for her birthday this year.”
Shiloh’s story blew us away here at 107.1 KSLT and inspired us so much that we had to let the KSLT family know. When we shared Shiloh’s story on air during our spring fundraiser, our listeners were so touched by how on fire Shiloh is for Jesus that they called in and went online at KSLT.com to give on behalf of their children, grandchildren, and future generations. We ended up calling this “The Shiloh Challenge.” This challenge lasted one hour and, because of Shiloh, listeners were inspired to give close to $10,000 so that, through KSLT, children like Shiloh can have a firm foundation to stand on, a place to inspire and encourage them, and have a safe space to listen to music.
Our prayer and hope at 107.1 KSLT is that KSLT blesses, encourages, and inspires the precious hearts, ears, and minds of children like Shiloh. As it says in Isaiah 11:6, “The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them.” The children are the future, and we are thrilled to see Shiloh leading the way!
Shiloh, you are amazing! We are SO proud of you, we love you, you are beautiful, and we know Jesus is going to use you in many mighty ways. Thank you for being a light in this world!
And thank you, Cherie, for allowing us to share your daughter’s story and also for encouraging your daughter as she is being an encouragement to so many people! Praying for many blessings to come your way.
