If you watched the Super Bowl this last weekend, you might recognize this name, and if you didn’t, you will now! Brock Purdy is the quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers who faced the Kansas City Chiefs this last weekend in Las Vegas. Alan from Afternoons shared on-air why Purdy is making some positive waves in the NFL and on social media. Purdy is choosing to point to Jesus in interviews stating that, “Jesus Christ is my Rock. He’s my Lord and Savior. That’s Who I live for, and that bleeds into how I love my teammates well, how I can have a good mindset when things are going well, when things aren’t going well, in football, in life. That’s my identity. … The verdict is in. Jesus Christ already died for my sins and I’m saved through Him and now I can go and live my life through that.” This 24 year old who was the very last pick of the 2022 NFL draft and was dubbed “Mr. Irrelevant”, has taken his team to the Super Bowl in his second year of playing in the NFL.
