Christmas light & extension cord recycling event

“We don’t want homeowners to put the lights into the curbside recycling containers because the light strings are what we call ‘tanglers’. When they get into the recycling line at the Landfill, they can get twisted up in the machinery causing backups and delays.”

What do you do with Christmas lights that no longer work? As Ria Hannon mentioned in the quote above, it’s recommended to not put them in curbside recycling containers, but they can be recycled!

This annual event starts November 1 and continues through January 31, you can drop off your unuseable Christmas lights and extension cords at the locations listed below.
