Job Summary
The Chaplain is responsible for the assessment of patient/family spirtual needs and facilitates and provides pastoral ministry to patients and families.

Job Description
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for the spiritual care of patients and their families.
- Responds to calls for sacramental ministry.
- Supports an interdisciplinary approach to pastoral care through coordination of clergy, pastoral visitors, and volunteers from the pastoral community.
- Utilizes time effectively and efficiently to ensure patient referrals are completed in a timely manner.
- Effectively communicates and displays a knowledge and understanding of the role and capabilities of various professionals and collaborates effectively.
- Utilizes effective verbal, nonverbal and written communication skills which reflect professional standards.
- Collaborates with the Patient and Family Liaison representative.
- Effectively communicates and displays a knowledge and understanding of the role and capabilities of various professionals and collaborates effectively.
- All other duties as assigned.
