Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Janitor/Maintenance worker to join our team. As a Janitor/Maintenance worker , you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our church facilities including landscaping and outdoor maintence. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Duties:
– Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing
– Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
– Clean and maintain restrooms, ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies
– Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
– Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs or fixing leaky faucets
– Assist with setting up and tearing down equipment for events or meetings
– Perform grounds maintenance including landscaping and tree trimming on the property
– Conduct inspections to identify maintenance needs and report any issues to the appropriate personnel
– Collaborate with other team members to ensure a safe and clean environment for staff and visitors
Qualifications:
– As you will be working at a church we ask that you are a Professing Christian and uphold a lifestyle of high moral standards.
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Previous experience in janitorial or maintenance work preferred
– Knowledge of basic maintenance tasks, such as plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
– Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
– Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
– Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks
– This position will be contingent upon the receipt of a background check free of all misdemeanors and felonies.

Pay: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
