Meals at No Charge for Kids 18yrs & Under
THE FIRST DAY OF SUMMER FEEDING (all sites except RCAA) IS JUNE 3, 2024!
The Summer Food Service Program provides free meals and snacks to children during the summer months. USDA works closely with states to ensure that children who receive free or reduced-price school meals can get the nutrition they need when schools are closed for summer break. Through USDA’s summer meal programs, approved sites in communities across the country serve meals and snacks to kids 18 and younger at no cost.
To find a program in your community, you can:
- Text the word FOOD to 304-304 to get nearby locations.
- Call the USDA Hotline at 1-866-348-6479
Rapid City, SD Locations: Thanks to Meals on Wheels Western South Dakota, we are able to serve meals to seniors (60+) accompanying their grandchildren breakfast and lunch at no charge. Thanks to Black Hills Area Community Foundation, we are able to serve meals to adults (19-59yrs) accompanying their children lunch at no charge. See site details to find a location near you.
